Body Massage

Body Massage is a form of treatment that involves the manipulation of the soft structure of the body to prevent and alleviate pain, discomfort, muscle spasm and stress, to promote relaxation, health and healing.

Who is it good for - Although this type of massage is suitable for people of all ages, it serves those particularly well who are:

  • working in front of the computer or at a desk
  • involved in prolonged physical effort or repetitive manual tasks
  • lead an active and/or hectic lifestyle
  • suffer from aching joints and muscles, as well as back pain
  • with depression, anxiety, stress or insomnia
Body Massage

How does it work - A typical body massage is performed on the back, neck, shoulders, arms, legs and feet. As an experienced massage therapist, all of my treatments are carried out in a professional manner. Full nudity is not required and during treatments only areas being worked upon are exposed while modesty is maintained with the use of towels or clothing as appropriate to respect your privacy at all times.

Your first visit will include an additional 10 minutes consultation prior to the session in order to ascertain your health and the treatment outcomes you want to achieve. For all the visits, a feedback and aftercare advice will be provided at the end of each treatment. Please note that all information about clients is held in strictest confidence.

Each session is tailored to your needs - Together we effectively make up your own massage. In order to focus on where you really need it certain body parts can be left out (for example, only work on back, neck and shoulders). The scalp and face can also be included on request. Although the most common type of pressure is firm, the strength can be varied from soft to deep pressure in accordance with your needs. The treatment utilises a variety of techniques specifically designed to relax muscles and tissues by applying pressure involving for example kneading, stroking, friction and tapping.

After a massage your body will feel:

  • Reduced chronic tension and acute pain
  • Improved length and quality of sleep
  • Speeding up healing from injury and illness
  • Mental relaxation and calming of the nervous system
  • Improved blood and lymphatic circulation
  • Loosening of tight muscles and joints
