Reflexology

The feet are often neglected, yet bear all our weight on a daily basis. Reflexology works on the principle that reflex areas on the feet correspond to every part of the body, including major organs.

How does it work -
The client lies on a massage table during the treatment and except for socks, remains fully clothed. This treatment involves a foot massage, followed by pressures applied to those reflex points. The pressure stimulates nerves that connect to the internal organs and body systems which causes positive physiological responses in the body. You will be surprised how responsive they are to massage and pressure.

Reflexology

Your first visit will include an additional 10 minutes consultation prior to the session in order to ascertain your health and the treatment outcomes you want to achieve. For all the visits, a feedback and aftercare advice will be provided at the end of each treatment. Please note that all information about clients is held in strictest confidence.

Who is it for - This type of massage is suitable to everyone who wants to feel relaxed, and particularly to those who:

  • feel overwhelmed by tension and stress
  • experience general or specific internal discomforts
  • have a condition which cannot be treated via direct contact (e.g. injuries)

What is it good for:

  • Relieves stress related disorders
  • Aids in treating insomnia
  • Improves lymphatic drainage; strengthening the immune system
  • Promotes natural healing and well-being
  • Improves blood supply to the muscles and relieves congestion
  • Restores energy levels and assists in the elimination of toxins

This holistic healing technique aims to treat the individual as a whole, in order to induce a state of balance in the body, mind and spirit.
