How does it work - The client lies on a massage table during the treatment. The therapist uses a range of different movements including deep kneading on the upper back, neck and shoulders until the tension has eased. The therapist also massages and stimulates pressure points on the face and the scalp.
Stimulation of the scalp increases circulation, relaxing you and toning up the muscles. This relieves eye strain, headaches, improving concentration, strengthening the immune system and creating a deep feeling of well-being. It also eliminates muscle tension and restores joint movement by stretching and kneading the tissues of the neck and shoulders.
What is it good for - Indian head massage is especially good for:
- relieving migraines and headaches and improving sleep
- frees knots of muscular tension
- elimination of accumulated toxins and waste products (particularly in the case of sinusitis)
- increasing joint mobility and flexibility in the neck and shoulders
- improving blood circulation and lymphatic flow
Clients report that the experience is deeply calming, leaving them feeling energised and better able to concentrate.
